THE PAINKILLERS

THE CONCEPT OF THE PAINKILLERS COLLECTION

Resembling specters from a forgotten past, the Painkillers collection draws inspiration from a military spiral, where rigid and precise lines intertwine with unusual cuts and avant-garde details. Each garment tells a story, composing a unique visual symphony that seamlessly blends the legacy of the past with the boldness of the future.

Within the Painkillers collection, youthful and school-inspired elements were seamlessly incorporated, alongside the decision to infuse a vampiric aura. The reinterpretation of the color pink adds a more gothic touch. Garments feature precise lines inspired by military aesthetics, complemented by a younger and more vibrant vibe. Shirts boast wide cuffs and soft, comfortable, and elegant fabrics. Additionally, technical pieces integrated with textile technologies enrich the collection. Notably, the entire collection embraces a genderless approach.

Sebastian Medina Rendon made the decision to model for this collection himself. ‘I thought I should get involved in every aspect; it was genuinely a fun experience. It’s been one of my first campaigns, and I wanted to make it a bit more personal. I like the idea of appearing in the campaigns, but I’m not sure if modeling is my thing. Being behind the scenes with the team is more enjoyable.'”

Interesting facts of the collection

Sebastian made the deliberate choice to unveil the Painkillers collection on 8/08/2023, aligning it with the Lionsgate portal on 8/8. This portal, occurring when the sun aligns with the astrological sign of Leo, involves the sun coinciding with the star Sirius and the galactic center, creating a potent energetic alignment. This alignment resonates strongly with spiritual and metaphysical traditions, often associated with themes such as spiritual awakening, ascension, and manifestation.

Moreover, the password for the suitcases containing the collection’s clothing was set as 888. Additionally, the campaign was meticulously photographed on the 17th, accentuating its numerological significance, as 1+7 equals 8.

Sebastian maintains a profound connection with numerology and astrology, where the number 8 holds immense significance. It not only serves as a key personal number but also as his destiny number.

Remarkably, the Painkillers collection was conceived and designed in an emergency room. The name ‘The Painkillers’ alludes to the pain-relieving analgesics that were dripping and alleviating the pain.
